Using vintage boatbuilding techniques, coupled with modern materials and precision, Echo Lake Wooden Boats crafts some of the finest water-going vessels available.
We build classic, proven designs by hand in our Fayette, Maine, boatbuilding shop. Each of our vessels is built from scratch – and we only build one at a time, so we're always completely focused on the craft at hand.
Our construction methods are rooted in traditional boatbuilding techniques which date back generations. Each rail and rib is expertly cut from top-quality lumber, then trimmed by hand to fit perfectly into place.
Once each craft is complete, we paint and varnish it (custom colors and finishes are available), then test it on pristine Echo Lake to make sure it's excellent.
We have several complete vessels available for purchase now. We also still have some availability for custom orders for the 2024 season. For more information, or to set an appointment to inspect the vessels, please drop us a line using the button below.
Thank you!
Our construction process stems from a century-old Maine boatbuilding tradition, and each of our boats takes a couple hundred hours to complete. After all, good things take time.
See Our ProcessWe currently have two finished twelve-foot sailing skiffs available for purchase. These pretty little craft are finished and ready to hit the water – click below for a closer look and more details.
